American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN with at least 3 years of operating room experience for a 13-week assignment at a Level 1 trauma center.

• Operating Room unit within an acute care, Level 1 trauma hospital
• 15 operating suites with 25-45 cases per day across specialties including general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic
• Uses Epic EMR
• 8-hour shifts rotating through 2 weeks nights ), 2 weeks evenings/mid shift  or ), and 2 weeks days  or )
• Call required approximately once per week and every 3rd to 4th weekend, including holidays
• No floating required
• Charge RN available 24/7 and does not take a patient assignment but can assist as needed
• Surgical techs (1-2 per patient) and CNAs (3-4 during days, reduced to 1 by evening) support the unit

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
• Scrubbing required for RNs
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Scrubs are provided; casual professional dress required when entering/leaving the facility
• Unit-specific orientation is 1 week, with 12 hours of non-billable general orientation
• Local rates available for clinicians with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility
• No radius rule restricting eligibility
• COVID vaccination is not required for this facility
• Candidates must be able to produce a negative drug screen for all panels
