American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active IL license and at least 2 years of experience.

• Medical Surgical unit, including Adult Med-Surg, Med-Surg Ortho, and Telemetry Med/Surg populations
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment length

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing standards, policies, and state regulations
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans based on physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education
• Document patient care according to established standards
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patients' longitudinal plans of care across departments
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• COVID-19 vaccination required
