American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active IL license and at least 2 years of experience.
Requirements- Active IL RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required
- Medical Surgical unit, including Adult Med-Surg, Med-Surg Ortho, and Telemetry Med/Surg populations
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 13-week assignment length
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient care
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing standards, policies, and state regulations
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans based on physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education
- Document patient care according to established standards
- Participate in unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patients' longitudinal plans of care across departments
- Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and elevate concerns through the appropriate chain of command
