Quality Manager - Automotive Parts Manufacturing
An international automotive parts manufacturing company is currently searching for an experienced Quality Manager to join their facility in the Rockford, Illinois area. The ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience in an industrial setting and a positive, team-oriented mindset. This is a full-time direct hire position.
Quality Manager
Responsibilities Include:
- Management of quality associates, including training, performance reviews, oversight of daily activities and work assignments.
- Oversee product quality assurance; lead investigations into quality issues and determine causes and solutions.
- Act as point of contact for customers regarding quality issues.
- Documentation of quality assurance activities, such as PPAP, Quality Control Plans.
- Ensure company standards and safety initiatives are being met on the production floor and quality/testing lab area(s).
- Assist with preparations for quality audits and process improvement initiatives.
- Creation of miscellaneous activity and incident reports for upper management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Quality Manager Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Previous 3-5 years of leadership and quality assurance experience within a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of customer, industry, and state/federal quality standards; familiarity with ISO 9001 is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Physical requirements: Must be able to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks requiring range of motion and visual acuity.
