Position Title: Quality Technician III

Salary: $52,000-$74,880 per year

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm

QPS Employment Group has a great Quality Technician III position available at a company in Rockford, IL. This is a 1st shift, direct hire position.

Responsibilities
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Proficiently program and operate CMM and provide instruction and training to other personnel on the proper use of CMM equipment.
  • Perform advanced non‑destructive testing (NDT), including proficiency in magnetic particle testing and other NDT methods, ensuring product quality.
  • Maintain the instrument calibration system (e.g., Gagetrack), ensuring all instruments are calibrated, documented, and maintained according to established procedures.
  • Conduct evaluations and investigations of returned products, collecting necessary data to complete timely documentation and disposition in the RGA database.
  • Perform product inspections and testing to meet customer and RBS quality specifications, generating quality documents such as inspection reports, certificates of conformance, and material certification packets for customers.
  • Support the scrap/re‑work process for discrepant products, ensuring proper documentation and corrective action implementation.
  • Conduct gage repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R) studies as necessary.
  • Support ISO Quality System requirements and assist in conducting process audits to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain the corrective action log and database, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of corrective actions.
  • Facilitate the movement of parts and components as required, utilizing appropriate mobility tools, including manual handling, carts, and powered lift trucks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and safety regulations.
  • Any/all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting to 75 pounds.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle and/or adjust equipment.
  • Moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping.
