Our client, a well-established industrial distributor, is seeking a Store Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of their retail service location. The Store Manager will lead store activities, ensure exceptional customer service, manage inventory and merchandising, and drive profitability through operational excellence and team leadership. This role works closely with senior leadership to execute sales strategies, optimize store performance, and promote continued growth within the market.

• Assist walk-in and telephone customers with industrial and mobile hose / fitting needs.
• Provide troubleshooting support and recommend effective product solutions.
• Collaborate with outside sales representatives and manufacturer partners to support customer needs.
• Pull customer orders, prepare shipments, and ensure accurate documentation for orders and deliveries.
• Fabricate hydraulic and pneumatic hoses and assemble related fittings as required.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and participate in cycle counts.
• Oversee merchandising and presentation standards — ensure displays, signage, and product information are current and organized.
• Participate in store marketing and promotional activities to grow the customer base.
• Perform warehouse functions such as bulk picking, shipping, receiving, unloading trucks, and verifying merchandise.
• Record inventory transactions accurately within the company’s control systems.
• Provide back-up support to other regional store locations as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial equipment environments preferred.
• Familiarity with hose crimping machines (Parker or equivalent models) a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and process purchase orders, shipping manifests, and related documentation.
• Solid mathematical and analytical skills.
• Previous warehouse or retail distribution experience preferred, including familiarity with multi-carrier shipping systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and inventory software systems.
• Associate degree or equivalent technical training; relevant experience may substitute for education.

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and occasional loud noise.
• May involve occasional work around moving mechanical parts or elevated work areas.
