Job Description
As a Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol Driver in Rockford, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter security‑related incidents, and provide a visible presence. This part‑time driving post involves routine patrols and exceptional customer service, upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You’ll Do
- Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the government facility and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe for any unusual activity.
- Document and report incidents or observations according to site procedures.
- Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries.
- Work closely with site management and supervisors to address security‑related concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- At least one year of security‑related experience.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum age 21.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
- Compliance with state and local licensing requirements for driving positions.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
