OSF Health Care is looking for a Security Officer to work an unarmed security post at our campuses.

Expected pay for this position is $20.21 - $23.77/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

The Security Officer functions in an unarmed security post for OSF Health Care campuses. Responsibilities include conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring alarm systems, assisting in investigations, and deterring criminal activity and misconduct.

• High School/GED
• Current State Driver's License
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification within 90 days of hire
• International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) within 1 year of hire
• National Incident Management System (NIMS) within 1 year of hire
• LCMMC:
  Active FOID Card
• Service with a police department or active military, United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or National Guard, and/or 1 year of security or customer service experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail

• Associate's Degree
• Service with a police department or active military or National Guard, and/or 3 years of security experience
• International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) Advanced Certification
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail
