Maintenance Technician

$30 - $40 per hour | Rockford, IL | On-site | Permanent

We started as a two-man tool and die shop and have grown into a two-plant operation with over 400 skilled employees. We run more than 60 heavy gauge stamping presses up to 4,400 tons, and we are certified to IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14001:2015.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to keep our presses, automation, and plant equipment running safely and efficiently on first shift. You will be part of a skilled team supporting a high-volume stamping operation where uptime matters.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain stamping presses, coil handling equipment, and related production machinery
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
• Support press, transfer, and automation equipment to keep production on schedule
• Read blueprints, schematics, and electrical and hydraulic diagrams
• Work with production, toolroom, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
• Keep accurate maintenance records and keep the work area clean and organized

• Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a stamping or heavy manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Experience with PLCs and controls is a plus
• Experience with press maintenance is a plus
• Able to work first shift and lift required weights
• Strong safety mindset and reliable attendance
