Womens Crisis Center Coordinator (Evening) (FT)

Pay RangeBase pay: $21.00/hr - $21.00/hr
Working ConditionsWorking in a multitask office requiring the ability to assist the general public and Crisis guests. Involves deskwork, computer input, and managing crisis services.
- Oversee the delivery of services in the Crisis Program.
- Read staff log and guest files upon arrival.
- Serve as a receptionist: answer phone and greet visitors.
- Monitor meals, snacks, and cleanup for Crisis guests.
- Oversee registration and checking‑in of guests on your shift.
- Provide emergency clothing and inform Case Manager of additional needs.
- Assess the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of Crisis guests; intervene when appropriate and refer when needed.
- Document all activities in daily log, incident reports, and guest files.
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment.
- Assist volunteers during your shift.
- Uphold program expectations and exhibit Christlikeness in interactions.
- Offer counsel to those who fall short of spiritual expectations.
- Seek referral opportunities.
- Remain vigilant for inappropriate behaviors (e.g., smoking, drugs/alcohol, threats, theft, weapons).
- Enforce program principles compassionately.
- File corrective actions as required.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment, including random bunk checks and documenting late arrivals.
- Identify hazards and refer to Case Manager or Homeless Services Supervisor.
- Notify appropriate emergency personnel as needed.
- Handle incoming crisis calls and document follow‑up.
- Supervise guest intake and departure.
- Attend weekly staff meetings, internal/external training, and required first aid or fire safety courses.
- Monitor medications and oversee dinner and cleanup.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Minimum requirement:
High School diploma or GED. - Demonstrated compassion toward the poor, needy, and homeless.
- Knowledge of Christian character traits (integrity, trustworthiness, responsibility).
- Respectful, gentle, and accountable when interacting with Crisis guests.
- Teachable and a team player; willing to resolve conflicts appropriately.
- Good judgment and punctuality.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Commitment to safe and healthy work practices on and off site.
- J03 license required within 90 days of hire.
