Summary

The primary function of this position is to assist the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager in maintaining inventory counts and quality control procedures for incoming product deliveries. Responsibilities include receiving product in a timely manner, unloading trucks, checking deliveries against invoices, and processing all product through the JDE system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Independently perform all functions of receiving for both stock and non-stock items.
  • Receive and delegate tasks to other warehouse personnel to accomplish critical tasks in a timely manner.
  • Compare packing lists to physical inventory and ensure that the product matches the packing list.
  • Update inventory as product is delivered, processing all invoices through the JDE system.
  • Contact procurement and business unit departments to resolve any issues associated with delivered materials.
  • Receive incoming freight utilizing the JDE system and complete all paperwork including BOLs, manifests, and customer required documents.
  • Maintain ISO standards in all warehouse functions.
  • Acquire needed information using computer, email, phone systems, etc.
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory entries and precise data recording.
  • Count or weigh materials to verify quantity.
  • Distribute processed materials to the proper recipient.
  • Unload trucks and inspect packages for damage when needed.
  • Complete assigned tasks, resolve day‑to‑day problems.
  • Lead assigned personnel on each shift to meet productivity and efficiency targets.
  • Implement ways to improve or optimize warehouse receiving procedures.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules.
  • Work independently and coordinate with others.
  • Use scanners, tablets, radio, phones, and other warehouse machinery.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
  • Good verbal, written, listening communication skills.

  • Good computer skills, detail oriented, and problem solver.
  • Honest, dependable, quick learner, strong leader, positive attitude.
  • May require overtime and/or weekend work.
  • Attendance to work is essential.

  • Perform and support all job requirements as directed by supervisor/manager.
Environment
  • Warehouse work with moderate risk; may require protective clothing or gear for 3/4 of the day.
  • Primarily at desk/office environment; noise level moderate.
Qualifications
  • TABE testing requirements met at approved grade level.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills; knowledge of various programs.
  • Full professional proficiency in reading, writing, speaking.
  • Very high reasoning: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions.
  • Interpret technical instructions in math or diagram form; handle abstract/concrete variables.

Benefits

The hiring rate for this position is $19.96–$22.46/hour plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. PCI offers full‑time employees a competitive benefits package that includes paid time off, health insurance (including dental and vision), flexible spending account, and 401(k).
