DescriptionWe are currently seeking experienced MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Emergency Medicine. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being and survival of individuals facing critical health issues. You will be involved in a variety of fast-paced and challenging medical cases, making quick decisions to save lives and improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess and treat patients with acute medical conditions in the emergency department.
- Perform medical procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and chest tube insertion.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Stabilize patients in critical condition and make decisions regarding their admission to the hospital or transfer to a higher level of care.
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in electronic medical records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in emergency medicine through continuous learning and professional development.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
- Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certifications.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to make quick, accurate decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to all patients.
Schedule:
8, 9, 10, and 12-hour shifts
No call
Multiple locations
Must be board-certified
