Medical Assistant

Obtain vital signs and general health information for patient charts and prepare patients for examinations. Assist providers with examinations and procedures as needed. Collect laboratory specimens and perform tests on patients as ordered by the provider or coordinate testing, admissions, and referrals. Enter and record patient information accurately in charts.
QualificationsLPN - Must be a graduate of an LPN program and hold a current license.
RMA/CMA - Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program and possess an active registration or certification. An Associate's Degree is preferred but not required. Three years of clinical experience in a physician's office is highly preferred. Experience with Epic EMR, office skills, medical and insurance terminology is preferred. Excellent communication and computer skills are required. The candidate should be a self-starter, highly motivated, friendly, outgoing, and possess excellent customer service skills.
Extensive knowledge of various health insurance plans is preferred. Experience as a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant or LPN within an OB/GYN office is preferred.
