• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests promptly, respond to questions/concerns courteously, assist with gaming needs, inform about promotions and trade-in program, recommend additional items, apply selling behaviors, express gratitude, prioritize guests.
• Support overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, nurture repeat business.
• Process purchases and returns accurately via POS system.
• Address guest comments or questions in person or on phone, answer calls promptly and professionally.
• Promote Game Stop’s unique guest benefits, such as new title reservations and Pro Rewards program.
• Maintain a clean, organized, merchandised store including restrooms per company guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are working.
• Complete Omni‑Channel orders daily.
• Safeguard company assets through inventory control, loss prevention practices, and making bank deposits as required.
• Conduct store inventory counts, restock merchandise, move products from stock room to front of store ensuring organization and alphabetization.
• Support management in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete administrative duties.
• Count, balance, and reconcile daily business transaction totals accurately; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposit slips.
• Check shipments for discrepancies, record them, and report to management as needed.
• Process defectives, recalls and stock pulls accurately and promptly, ensuring proper labeling and packing lists.
• Inspect associates’ and leaders’ packages or belongings at store closing or end of shift.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in management’s absence.
• Consistently adhere to Game Stop policies and procedures, including the Associate Handbook and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.
• Follow opening and closing procedures.
• Observe associate performance and provide timely feedback to management.

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Minimum 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

• Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills, both in person and on phone; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Work in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Meet associate performance expectations, including attendance, professional dress, and grooming.
• Operate POS computer system and complete required paperwork.
• Basic math skills and alphabetizing skills.
• Self‑motivation and ability to work as a team.
• Problem‑solving skills and judgment.
• Follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Deliver bank deposits following loss‑prevention guidelines.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability.
• Remain effective under pressure and handle stress.
• Perform physical tasks: bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, lift merchandise up to 30 lbs from ground to minimum 4 ft.
• Stand and move unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

Full‑time store positions at Game Stop are eligible to participate in incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Positions may also be eligible for bonuses and/or other incentives.

Compensation: $8.50 – $11.25 per hour.
