Family Peer Advocate Associate

The Family Peer Advocate (FPA) will provide six Family Support Services (engagement, bridging and transition support, community connections and natural supports, self-advocacy and empowerment, parent skill development, and promoting effective family driven practice) while managing the network “soft-line” communication. Family Peer Advocates will carry a caseload of 15.

Maintain a caseload of 15 families. Offer an array of formal and services and supports to families that have a child with social, behavioral, emotional, health and/or developmental needs. Work as a team with the Family Support Network and with the Family Network Supervisor in developing program goals and outcomes. Manage on-site “soft-line” and use tracking process of calls and inquiries.

High School Diploma/GED and “lived experience” as a caregiver who has navigated multiple child serving systems is required.

While performing the duties for this job, the employee is required to communicate clearly and effectively. The employee is required to stand; use mobility, handle, or feel and reach. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
