Technical Editor​/Production Coordinator

ECORP Consulting, Inc. is seeking a full-time Technical Editor/Production Coordinator to join our team in our Rocklin, Redlands, Irvine, San Diego, or Chico, California office. This role supports our technical and scientific teams by ensuring the accuracy, clarity, consistency, and timely production of technical reports, proposals, and other client deliverables. The position is initially 100% in office, with the potential for a hybrid schedule following the orientation period.

This role is not available on a fully remote schedule.

• Edit, format, and proofread technical reports, plans, studies, proposals, and other documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and compliance with company standards and applicable style guides.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft Word formatting, including styles, numbering, tables, figures, and cross-references.
  
  Collaborating with authors, technical staff, and project managers to improve document readability, flow, and accuracy.
• Formatting documents according to company, client, and government requirements using established templates and styles.
• Publishing and quality-checking documents using Adobe Acrobat Pro and related software, including applicable accessibility requirements.
• Coordinating document production activities to meet project, client, and regulatory deadlines.
• Independently manage multiple assignments, prioritize deadlines, resolve formatting and publishing challenges, and communicate scheduling or workload conflicts.
  
  Performing hardcopy document production, including printing, binding, folding, and packaging.

• Bachelor's degree in English, environmental science, journalism, communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant education and/or professional experience.
• Strong written communication, editing, proofreading, and document quality-control skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with technical staff and project managers.
• Ability to independently research and resolve document formatting and production challenges
• Ability to lift to 10 pounds.

• Experience editing or preparing technical documents in environmental consulting, planning, engineering, scientific, or regulatory settings.
• Experience working with complex documents containing tables, figures, appendices, references, and cross-references.
• Familiarity with digital accessibility standards, including WCAG, PDF/UA, and Section 508.

This is a full-time hourly position with a range of $35.00 to $42.00 per hour, equivalent to approximately $72,800 to $87,360 annualized.

Starting salary is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications/permits, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.
