Functions and Tasks- Lecture/Laboratory Presentation – Present course material clearly and logically; use current examples and visual aids; encourage student participation.
- Student Performance Evaluation – Develop and grade quizzes, exams, projects, and laboratory assignments; advise students and refer them to support services.
- Lecture/Laboratory Preparation – Select textbooks, develop supplemental materials and syllabi; coordinate lecture and lab sessions.
- Curriculum Development – Review and propose curriculum changes; work with advisory committees and faculty to ensure alignment with student needs.
- Shared Governance Activities – Participate in department and district meetings, serve on committees, and represent the department at district events.
- Student Services – Maintain office hours, support diverse student populations, and participate in student award ceremonies.
- Special Programs – Engage in career fairs and outreach activities that enhance instruction.
- Master’s in business administration, business management, business education, marketing, public administration, or finance; or a Bachelor's in any of the above with a Master’s in economics, accountancy, taxation, or law; or equivalent.
- Teaching experience matching the teaching level selected under the Part‑time/Adjunct Salary Schedule.
- Verification of credentials, transcripts, Live Scan, and tuberculosis examination is required.
Placement on the District Faculty Salary Schedule is based on years of experience and degree level. Entry‑level rates are $77.44 per hour (lecture) and $58.08 per hour (lab/counselor). The maximum attainable rates are $127.21 per hour (lecture) and $95.41 per hour (lab/counselor). Employees are eligible for the State Teachers Retirement System, sick leave, and other benefits as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.
