We are seeking a certified Medical Massage Therapist to join our clinic. As a Massage Therapist, you will customise therapeutic massage sessions to address a client’s chief complaint and when appropriate provide medical massage treatment following a doctor’s prescription. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in deep tissue, myofascial release and trigger point therapy, possess a deep knowledge of human anatomy and the musculoskeletal system, and work well as part of an integrated team of medical providers.
ResponsibilitiesProvide excellent time management skills including arriving punctually for shifts and starting/ending treatments as scheduled.
Perform therapy integrated with deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release based on a physician’s prescription.
Perform therapy integrated with deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release to treat a client’s chief complaint.
Educate clients on the difference between treatment phase, maintenance phase and how our services and products can help them manage their health.
Maintain accurate records of each session including detailed SOAP notes deliverable by end of day.
Build relationships with clients to assist them with meeting their wellness goals.
Ensure a clean and safe facility.
Comply with all company standards, rules, and regulations.
QualificationsHold current state license and liability insurance to practice massage therapy.
Capable of performing 45 minute, 60 minute, 90, and 120 minute massage treatments integrating trigger point, myofascial release, and deep tissue modalities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and timely through company email and chat.
Confidence to treat acute conditions on patients with recent surgeries or injuries.
Strongly service oriented with an ability to communicate effectively with clients in a one-on-one setting.
High level of ethics and integrity.
A passion for helping people manage their acute or chronic pain.
