We are seeking a detail‑oriented and service‑focused Payroll & Benefits Technician to support our Rocklin based clients HR and finance operations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance with regulatory standards all within a mission‑driven healthcare environment.
- Pay : $36.00-$38.00/hr. (DOE)
- Contingent
- Hybrid after training.
- Administer employee benefits programs and support enrollment, changes, and compliance across health, dental, retirement, and insurance plans.
- Process payroll transactions in the HRIS system, including salary updates, deductions, direct deposits, and off-cycle checks.
- Audit and reconcile timesheets, insurance invoices, and payroll records, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Maintain benefit tables, employee records, and organized filing systems while supporting onboarding and orientation activities.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits, providing clear guidance and support.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and assist with general accounting tasks and team collaboration.
- Minimum one year of experience in payroll administration and employee benefits coordination, with knowledge of payroll tax laws and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experienced with HRIS platforms such as UKG Ready and electronic timekeeping systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage complex tasks independently.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills and maintains confidentiality in all interactions.
- Able to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, building positive relationships with peers and leadership.
- Preferred qualifications include FPC certification and three years of progressively responsible payroll experience.
