ISO Workforce Alliance is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a school-based assignment in Rocklin Unified School District. Under the supervision of the Health Services Supervisor and site administration, the LVN provides direct medical care and health support to students with a wide range of medical needs in accordance with individualized health and education plans.
Key Responsibilities- Emergency and routine medical care for students (respiratory distress, seizures, allergic reactions, hypoglycemia, etc.)
- Administer prescribed and over-the-counter medications per district policy
- Perform specialized health care procedures (catheterizations, trach care, suctioning, glucose monitoring, ostomy care)
- Support students with feeding needs (G-tube, NG tube, specialized feeding procedures)
- Implement services outlined in IHPs, IEPs, and Emergency Care Plans
- Monitor student health, vital signs, and signs of illness or communicable disease
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Communicate regularly with families, school staff, and Health Services
- Valid California LVN license
- Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program
- Valid California driver’s license
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- School or pediatric nursing experience
- Experience supporting medically fragile students
- Strong documentation and communication skills li>
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and assist students (up to 50 pounds)
- Ability to respond calmly and appropriately to medical emergencies
