Controller​/Senior Accountant

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Controller/Senior Accountant in Rockville, MD.

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and management reports
• Manage budgeting, cash flow, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, nonprofit reporting requirements, and internal policies
• Coordinate the annual audit and preparation of required tax and regulatory filings
• Maintain effective financial controls and accounting procedures
• Partner with leadership and program teams to support financial planning and decision-making

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience;
  Nonprofit experience preferred
• Experience with budgeting, audits, and financial controls
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel or similar tools
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting; nonprofit accounting experience a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
