Our client is a commercial construction firm serving the Washington, DC metro area. Its projects span corporate interiors, healthcare, government, education, retail, and other specialized spaces. The team works closely with clients and trade partners from early budgeting through construction.

The Junior Estimator supports the preconstruction team by reviewing drawings and specifications, preparing quantity takeoffs and budgets, gathering subcontractor pricing, and helping develop complete bids. This role is based in Rockville, Maryland.

You’ll work alongside experienced preconstruction and project management professionals, gain exposure to a range of commercial projects, and build your skills in budgeting, bid review, and trade coordination.

• 1–2 years of estimating experience with a general contractor
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Experience preparing quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates
• Working knowledge of subcontractor scopes and bid comparisons
• Proficiency with Excel and digital takeoff software
• Strong math, analytical, and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and meet submission deadlines
• Ability to attend site visits and pre-bid meetings in the DC metro area
• High school diploma or equivalent
