Our client is looking for an experienced Engineer to perform engineering tasks associated with the complete effort to define, develop, and implement an Integrated Logistic Support System (ILSS) for plants. Included in the ILSS are all Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) considerations to ensure the plant will maintain its performance capability over its full design life.
JobMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related degree from an accredited institution.
- Typically, ten years of experience in an engineering, maintenance or operations role. A master’s degree in engineering or related field (may include a combination of experience obtained through an academic institution, e.g., design projects, research, or design teams, as well as professional experience) may be in lieu of two years of experience. A Ph.D. in engineering or related field (may include a combination of experience obtained through an academic institution, e.g., design projects, research, or design teams, as well as professional experience) may be in lieu of three years of experience.
Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities
:
- Define, develop, and manage plant-level systems engineering for the RAM program and an ILSS for the plant using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- Identify applicable industry Engineering and Maintenance Programs and apply design requirements through the development of programmatic governance and standards.
- Assist with identification, development, design, and/or integration of special tooling, robotics, and automated or remote maintenance platforms to support plant maintenance.
- Lead and/or participate in plant design reviews to classify plant equipment for development of a lifecycle plant asset management strategy.
- Collaborate with design engineers to incorporate maintenance requirements into the design of nuclear systems and components, ensuring ease of access and serviceability.
- Ensure all maintenance aspects of the design comply with relevant nuclear regulations and standards, including NRC and international guidelines.
- Recommend system design alterations and enhancements to improve reliability, maintainability and operation from an assembly, transportation, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and/or decommissioning perspective.
- Prepare and review detailed maintenance documentation, including procedures, manuals, and technical reports, to support the design and future operational phases.
- Collaborate in the technical oversight and direction of internal or external teams.
- Organize maintenance engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, contractors, or other groups as required.
