This role is responsible for the setup and day‑to‑day administration of a designated application (i.e. Smart Plant Electrical, Instrumentation) within the Smart Plant environment. They will additionally support internal and external staff to produce engineering deliverables and products using the designated application in the Smart Plant environment. This role will facilitate the implementation and maintenance of the designated application in the Smart Plant environment.

• Author and maintain technical documentation related to the designated application system architecture and interfaces.
• Administer the designated Smart Plant application for production, testing and development environment(s) taking such action as may be necessary to ensure maximum availability and correct operational issues.
• Standardize the workflow for project execution of Smart Plant by assisting in the creation of Smart Plant procedures and standards.
• Support troubleshooting to solve Smart Plant environment problems to ensure project integrity.
• Build relationships that will facilitate knowledge transfer, cross functional knowledge of related work groups, and ability to present work products effectively.
• Develop knowledge and expertise in unfamiliar topics relevant to the needs of the Engineering Design team.
• Act as a point‑of‑contact (POC) for designated Smart Plant application technical requirements coordination and management.
• Interface directly with working groups – e.g., Design Engineering, Analysis Team, Operator Simulator Development, Digital Twin Development, Procurement – to understand their functional needs.
• Create auditing requirements and checking for quality assurance of the design effort.
• Provide First‑Line & Second‑Line support for the designated Smart Plant application, setup, monitoring and see through the operational effectiveness of project life cycle from application support perspective.
• Maintain the designated Smart Plant application reference database for projects including transfers, reports, downloads, data integrity, etc.
• Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related discipline from an accredited university or college.
• Knowledge of designated Smart Plant application capabilities, modules, and best practices.
• Lead the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities, listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section, without close supervision and complete latitude for independent judgement.
• Provide feedback and guidance to more junior team members with the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section.
• Serve as a mentor to junior team members.
• Shares knowledge related to industry best practices and standards with others across the organization.
• Typically, twenty years of experience using the designated Smart Plant application is required.
