SummaryUnder direction, exercises control and oversees maintenance of a variety of organizational accounts; performs a full range of general accounting, budget control, fiscal management duties related to budget preparation, allocation of staff and materials, position control, financial monitoring, and account management for an organizational entity. Researches finance, budgeting, and/or procurement issues used to formulate budgeting, procurement, or other financial management decisions.

Must be able to work long hours as demanded by workload, including attendance at evening meetings.
- Develop and monitor fiscal grants
- Perform general accounting and budget control duties
- Allocate staff and materials across multiple fiscal years
- Maintain financial monitoring and account management for an organizational entity
- Research finance, budgeting, and procurement issues to support decision making
- Bachelor’s degree required, with coursework in accounting, finance, business, or public administration.
- Considerable experience in accounting, budgeting, procurement, and/or staffing preferred.
- Experience in fiscal grant development and monitoring, excellent collaboration skills, fiscal analytics, and intensive attention to detail are necessary skill sets.
- Knowledge of Montgomery County Public Schools organization, budget development, financial accountability, grant development and reporting, GAAP, and procurement procedures.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to analyze and report financial data.
