About

The Role

As a CBRE Health, Safety and Environment Manager, you will be in charge of creating and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs for small to medium‑size clients. This is a fully onsite role Monday‑Friday at a Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical client site located in Rockville, MD.

What You’ll Do
  • Promote a positive and proactive culture to influence client and ensure compliance.
  • Assist with implementing and reviewing playbooks and procedures, ensuring health, safety, and environmental initiatives drive program consistency and efficiency.
  • Manage initiatives to meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.
  • Track operational and safety risks and develop strategic risk‑management strategies to avoid potential incidents.
  • Monitor injury, illness, and incident reports; provide recommendations to prevent risk.
  • Monitor health, safety, and environmental regulatory compliance within the account; work with management to create strategic solutions that improve and maintain compliance as required.
  • Work with client to identify potential concerns; communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsible functional managers.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values; influence parties of shared interests to reach agreement.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day‑to‑day and moderately complex issues that may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3‑5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience with permit‑to‑work, program management, audit, risk management, contractor safety, and trainings within EHS in a Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical environment preferred.
  • Additional certifications as required by local authority.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team and impact quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Compensation

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training and experience. The compensation range is about $110,000 to $130,000 annual base salary plus 10% target bonus based on experience. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.
