Overview
Shady Grove Medical Center – Adventist Health Care seeks to hire an experienced CT Technologist for our CT Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities- Perform CT examinations in accordance with the protocols established by the radiologists.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating the CT scanner and all ancillary equipment within the CT department.
- Assist radiologists and other staff in interventional procedures.
- Understand principles and dangers involved in the administration of oral and intravenous contrast. Identify contraindications to IV contrast administration and recognize symptoms of IV contrast reactions.
- Properly identify patients, review orders, and select scanning protocols to maximize quality and safe patient care in CT.
- Accurately perform documentation in all computer systems within CT and Imaging Services pertinent to CT scanning (HIS, RIS, PACS, Telelradiography, image reformatting).
- Maximize patient throughput and demonstrate teamwork with coworkers by managing large patient volume including the transport of patients to and/or from CT as necessary.
- Provide general patient care as necessary within the CT department.
- Assist in orienting and training of new employees and students.
- High school or GED
- Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography
- 1 year CT experience preferred
- State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license
- ARRT (CT)
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Every other Weekend Saturday and Sunday: 11am-7pm. Holidays included. This is a per diem position with a rate of $55.
Pay Range: If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
