Brief

Job Overview

[This role will be Remote with 50% onsite requirement] The Senior Human Resources Business Partner provides HR support to assigned client groups, ensuring effective implementation of human resources practices and programs that support organizational effectiveness and development. The incumbent will perform a wide range of HR activities, acting as a strategic business collaborator translating business strategies into HR priorities and advising staff and leadership.

The role partners with Executive Team members to align workforce and talent programs with USP’s strategic plans. The Senior Human Resources Manager drives cross‑functional initiatives, benchmarks best practices, and leverages relationships across the organization.

How will YOU create impact here at USP?
  • Provides strategic HR business partnership and coaching to people managers to impact engagement, development, and retention of talent.
  • Advocates for building diverse and inclusive teams in partnership with the Equity Office.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to client leaders, building relationships, identifying and addressing systemic issues, and providing continuous coaching on organizational effectiveness.
  • Leads complex, multi‑year projects that enable USP’s global HR strategy to support current and future plans; manages project resources and consultants.
  • Manages challenging employee relations matters, developing recommendations and guiding resolution of issues, and analyzing trends to improve the work environment.
  • Provides guidance on annual performance management and development, ensuring legal compliance and constructive feedback.
  • Identifies talent gaps and development needs; implements succession planning, career management, performance management, and recruiting strategies.
  • Partners with leaders on organization design strategies, communication plans, and change management to optimize adoption.
  • Evaluates employee survey and feedback data to assess engagement and culture; develops action plans with leaders.
  • Collaborates with HR Centers of Excellence to address related issues and ensure client groups receive necessary services.
  • Analyzes exit interview feedback to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Who is USP Looking For?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Business, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, including at least 6 years focused on increasing organizational effectiveness through assessment and diagnosis.
Skills Sought
  • Broad experience in human resources, especially in employee relations, organizational effectiveness, people development, and compensation.
  • Successful history of launching and managing HR/OD projects and initiatives.
  • Highly developed listening skills and a consultative approach.
Additional Desired Preferences
  • Advanced degree in Organization Development, HR Management, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • Effective communication with C‑level executives to achieve results.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with strong intuition.
