PlanIT Group is seeking a Functional Technical Lead to support our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing software systems utilizing Unified Process (UP), Rapid Application Development (RAD), and Agile methodologies. Demonstrated experience in designing, architecting, developing, and delivering Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE) applications, as well as developing 3 and 4-tier web applications.

• Duration: One year plus annual extensions

• Developing software systems using UP, RAD, and Agile methodologies.
• Designing, architecting, developing, and delivering J2EE applications.
• Creating 3 and 4-tier web applications.
• Conducting user story workshops and hosting Agile ceremonies.
• Working with web technologies such as HTML, XML/XSL, JDBC, JNDI, LDAP, JavaScript, Java EJBs, servlets, and CSS.
• Ensuring usability, automation testing, and compliance with Section 508 regulations.
• Applying enterprise architecture frameworks like SAEAF and SOA.
• Supporting SDLC activities, including coding, testing, documentation, and support.
• Providing technical advisory and support services, including system architecture, project scope, and governance.

• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder, with at least 5 years of U.S. residence.
• No more than 6 months of travel outside the U.S. in the last five years, military service excluded.
