Cloud Security Lead

Description Senior Cloud security professional who has hands-on experience securing AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, has led cloud security initiatives, understands how to identify and remediate cloud security risks, and can independently drive projects while partnering effectively with engineering and business stakeholders.

Ensure that security risks are comprehensively and effectively managed though leading the application of established and ad hoc processes and techniques to identify, validate, and prioritize.
Lead the identification of security requirement deficiencies, eliciting of security requirements, and the architecture and design of security controls.
Develop and implement strategies to promote consistent use of security controls across the enterprise.
Lead the operation and monitoring of security controls.
Establish, implement, and promote security control operations and monitoring strategies.
Ensure that controls operate effectively; resolve operating discrepancies.
Review, triage, and prioritize control output.
Take appropriate action to resolve security discrepancies.
Lead the identification, evaluation, and recommendation of new security technologies, techniques, and tools.
Lead team in defining, reviewing, and promoting information security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
Lead and champion efforts to enforce and monitor compliance with internal and external regulations, policies, and standards.
Establish and promote strategies to ensure that compliance is effectively monitored and enforced.
Direct internal process improvement initiatives.
Provide feedback on processes by offering suggestions.
Mentor junior staff.
Participate in external process improvement committees as a Quality Assurance representative.
Provide backup coverage for next level management, as appropriate.
Assist with adherence to technology policies and comply with all security controls.
Ensure all work products meets/exceeds FINRA standards.
Demonstration of FINRAs values.
Collaboration, both in-person and virtually, in furtherance of FINRAs mission of investor protection and market integrity.

Key Requirements
5-8+ years of cloud security experience
2-3+ years leading security initiatives or serving in a lead capacity
Strong experience with GCP, AWS, and Azure (Azure preferred)
Would consider candidate with AWS and Azure but GCP security experience is highly desired as well
Ability to take requirements, work independently, and drive projects to completion
Deep understanding of cloud security risks, vulnerabilities, remediation strategies, and best practices
Experience evaluating cloud services and recommending security controls
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
Secure cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP
Evaluate cloud services and identify security risks
Recommend and implement preventative and detective security controls
Drive security findings and remediation efforts to resolution
Lead large-scale cloud security initiatives
Deploy and manage security tools such as AWS Guard Duty
Design and establish secure cloud foundations, including GCP landing zones
Provide guidance and leadership to security and engineering teams
Partner with stakeholders to ensure security requirements are met
Preferred Background
Financial services experience is highly preferred (Capital One, banking, fintech, etc.)
Experience working in highly regulated environments
Prior lead or senior-level cloud security engineering experience
