Branch Leader I or II - Rockville Town Square
Truist is hiring a Branch Leader I or II to oversee all aspects of the Rockville Town Square branch. The role involves leading, coaching, and managing the branch team while driving business development and ensuring compliance with internal controls and risk‑management policies.
Position OverviewThe Branch Leader manages day‑to‑day operations, human‑capital functions, and community engagement. Responsibilities include hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and ensuring the team satisfies the bank’s code of ethics and regulatory requirements. The position may also involve cross‑training for teller transactions as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Promote a positive public image in the community and instill Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values in the team.
- Drive branch performance and team productivity through coaching, motivating, and developing staff.
- Lead business development in Small Business, Mass Affluent, Community Heroes, and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) partnership initiatives.
- Build the Truist brand through community involvement and partnership with civic, professional, and business organizations.
- Execute branch engagement routines and support IRM and Operations partners to ensure compliance and risk management.
- Manage human‑capital decisions, including interviewing, selection, hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training.
- Two years of financial services and/or small‑business expertise.
- One year of branch leadership or management experience.
- Strong interpersonal, sales, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Compliance with SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check.
- Ability to inspire, lead, and coach others.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Banking.
- Graduate of an Internal Leadership Development Program.
- Branch Leader I: $56,570 – $90,500 annual base.
- Branch Leader II: $70,040 – $108,500 annual base.
All regular teammates working 20+ hours per week are eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, tax‑preference savings accounts, and a 401(k) plan. Ten vacation days and ten sick days are paid in the first year, prorated for part‑time status. Additional benefits such as defined benefit pension, restricted stock units, and deferred compensation may be available based on the division and position.
