At DAVIS, we're redefining the way people experience construction by building success for all.As an Enterprise Applications Manager, you will be leading a team responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a portfolio of applications that address the unique challenges of the construction industry. You will work closely with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to identify needs, design strategies, and deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive business success.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE + SPECIAL SKILLS- Minimum of 5 years experience in enterprise solutions management with responsibility for strategy development and leading a group
- Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of successfully managing complex, enterprise‑wide projects
- Expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design and development
- Operational construction industry experience (3+ years) with an understanding of construction processes including estimating, business development, project management, and financial management is preferred
- Preference for specific experience deploying construction industry applications like CMiC and Procore
- Ability to work in person (Rockville, MD) for the first 3‑6 months and hybrid (2 days a week from home) thereafter, with reasonable flexibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, or a related field
- Define and drive the strategic direction for enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with the organization’s broader IT and business objectives.
- Understand and anticipate the direction of the business and industry trends to identify opportunities and make recommendations to support DAVIS’ future needs.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Business Analysts and Application Specialists.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand the business strategy and establish an applications roadmap that is responsive to the business’ vision & goals.
- Perform personnel administrative functions (e.g., recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training & professional development, supervising, evaluating, corrective counseling).
- Oversee the entire application lifecycle, from selection and procurement to customization, implementation, maintenance, and retirement.
- Document business process and develop project charters. Responsible for execution of the application roadmap including projects and day‑to‑day operations.
- Drive application‑related change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions when implementing new solutions.
- Communicate project status to various levels of management.
- Plan and manage enterprise applications projects, overseeing functional and technical aspects of the implementation effort using effective project management techniques.
- Establish and refine goals, performance, and accountability measures to ensure the DAVIS team is meeting timelines, working efficiently, and providing high levels of service delivery.
- Lead and oversee the implementation of solutions from inception to completion.
- Oversee relationships with key IT delivery partners and contracts.
