Overview
Marketing & Communications Assistant (HRL + EPIARX) at Hylton-Rodic Law. This is a dual-capacity role supporting the marketing efforts of both HRL, a boutique intellectual property law firm, and EPIARX Diagnostics, a private pathology practice. This is the first dedicated full-time marketing hire for both firms and offers opportunities to shape the role and grow into leadership over time.
Responsibilities- Content creation and scheduling for Linked In, Instagram, and future platforms
- Copywriting and editing for emails, newsletters, web updates, and print collateral
- Support execution of marketing campaigns (virtual and physical, e.g., mailers, brochures)
- Draft and maintain company blog posts with team guidance
- Plan and coordinate marketing and conference events (booth logistics, follow-up)
- Conduct and log marketing outreach calls with clients and potential clients
- Liaise with vendors, clients, and printers for campaigns and mailings
- Update and maintain Squarespace websites for both firms
- Support CRM data entry and upkeep; ensure materials are accurate and on brand
- Collaborate with the Client Engagement Specialist on business development and report to the Operations Administrator with weekly check-ins
- Contribute ideas and energy to a small, fast-moving team
- Split approximately 50/50 between HRL and EPIARX with cross-functional opportunities
- Clear, professional communication even under pressure
- Organized, curious, and able to take ownership of tasks
- Enjoys creative work and is comfortable with administrative tasks
- Ability to balance quality, deadlines, and detail, even when busy
- Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred)
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (including internships)
- Experience with social media marketing and content creation
- Proficiency with Canva, Mailchimp, and Squarespace
- CRM experience is a plus (any platform welcome)
- Interest in science, law, healthcare, or pathology strongly preferred
- Comfort working in a small, high-performance office
- Strong writing and editing skills
Note:
This role may involve occasional work with technical or sensitive content. You’ll be guided, but curiosity and tact are key.
- Base Salary: $48,000–$55,000/year (commensurate with experience)
