We have an immediate opening for a Weekend OR/PACU RN to join our team in Rockville, Maryland. The schedule is every other Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. The pay range for this position is $38 to $46 per hour.

The OR/PACU RN is responsible for providing preoperative assessment, anesthesia-related care, and postoperative recovery support for surgical patients. This includes direct patient care, coordination with the surgical team, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2-3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
