The Server is the key Associate in delivering the Silver Diner brand to our guests. You are responsible for providing Silver Diner hospitality to our guests, generating sales, delivering food & beverage orders and properly handling POS functions.

• Ensure each guest receives outstanding service including greeting every guest within 30 seconds of being seated
• Ensure every order is delivered 100% correctly
• Suggestively sell to every guest
• Write down all orders & repeat back to guests to ensure accuracy
• Ring drink & food orders into POS immediately
• Accurately account for all guests at your tables when ringing in POS
• Deliver guest checks, collect payment & deliver change promptly
• Maintain knowledge of food & beverage specs
• Actively pre-bus tables to allow for quick turnover
• Maintain a clean station stocked to Silver Diner standards
• Complete all assigned side work
• Work as part of a team with clear and constructive communication

• Be on time for work
• Maintain a positive, fun-oriented attitude
• Keep yourself, your uniform and your station clean at all times
• Follow uniform standards
• Knowledge of SMG scoring standards for Speed of Service & Order Accuracy
• Know and ensure delivery of the Silver Diner Brand
• Perform any additional duties reasonably assigned by managers

• Develop strong guest relationships

• Required Education & Licensing/Certification:
  Silver Diner values education from on-the-job learning demonstrated through consistent career growth as well as formal education.
• Required Experience:
  
  Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Server or Bartender is preferred.
• Desired Characteristics:
  Exceptional guest service, excellent communication, contagiously friendly, energetic, organized, sense of urgency, multitasking, quick thinking with composure.

The work environment includes food, refrigeration, knives, toasters, syrup dispensers, plates/bowls, slippery floors, and high temperatures. It is physically intense, requiring stamina, the ability to tolerate heat, walk-in coolers, lift/maneuver up to 35 pounds, and stand/walk for extended periods. Ability to reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe; tolerate cleaning & sanitizing products. Frequent hand washing. Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages where applicable.

Weekend and holiday availability is required.
