Associate Asset Protection - Security

Overview

Giant Food is hiring for Asset Protection Associates to protect the company’s retail store assets by investigating loss of assets including merchandise, money and property. This role is responsible for preventing loss and shrink within their assigned stores through monitoring, investigating, surveillance and other LP tactics, including apprehending shoplifters. • Detect and resolve internal and external theft incidents.
• Serve as the primary contact for safety and security issues for stores in the area of responsibility.
• Tours stores daily to identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain awareness of high-risk areas to reduce or control merchandise losses.
• Review shrink best practices and execute shrink reduction strategies during store visits; check areas such as rotation and backroom organization.
• Review shrink reports and assist in responding to issues and opportunities identified in assigned stores.
• Assist in the implementation and communication of company safety and security policies and training programs.
• Ensure store environments are safe from theft and secure for shoppers and associates.

• High School Diploma
• Driver's License & transportation required – travel throughout multiple stores in a District and/or Region is required
• Up to one year of related experience
• Knowledge of criminal laws applicable to various state and local jurisdictions
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all investigation-related information
• Basic skills in MS Office
