Giant is hiring Asset Protection Associates to protect store assets and reduce loss inside our stores throughout Washington, DC and surrounding areas. This role focuses on monitoring, investigating, surveillance, and other loss prevention tactics to deter theft and apprehend shoplifters.

• Detect and resolve internal and external theft incidents.
• Serve as the primary contact for safety and security issues within the area of responsibility.
• Conduct daily store tours to identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain awareness of high risk areas to reduce merchandise losses.
• Review shrink best practices and assist with shrink reduction strategy during store visits, including rotation, backroom organization, and follow-up areas.
• Review shrink reports and respond to issues and opportunities identified in assigned stores.

• Assist in the implementation and communication of company safety and security policies and training programs.
• Help ensure a store environment is safe from theft and secure for customers and associates.

• High School Diploma
• Driver's license and transportation to travel across multiple stores in a district/region
• Up to 1 year of related experience
• Knowledge of criminal laws applicable to various state and local jurisdictions
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of investigation-related information
• Basic skills in MS Office
