As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security‑related incidents by monitoring and managing access points. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help prevent unauthorized entry, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone onsite.

Sat 02:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Sun 02:30 PM – 10:30 PM

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Monitor and control access to the location to help deter unauthorized entry and/or activity.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site‑specific policies.
• Provide customer service by addressing questions and assisting visitors, employees, and/or contractors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to observe and report security‑related concerns.
• Document and report any security‑related incidents or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site‑specific policies and procedures.

• Availability across various days and shifts

• Interest in transitioning into full‑time roles when available

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
