Java Developer II

4 + year's professional experience which means not school projects mandatory!

This position involves obtaining a Level 5 Security Clearance. Candidate must reside in the U.S. for a total of 3 years within the last 5 years.

We are seeking a Principal Engineer to join our client's rapid development team in Rockville, Maryland.

The Opportunity:

This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a small, focused team environment with unlimited challenges, providing development support for our customer. You will also be working directly with a team of knowledgeable Java Developers and with various projects interacting with Business Analysts and customers. The candidate will be working in a team setting focusing on rapid-turnaround projects including system-to-system interfaces, both load and capacity scalability issues, usability upgrades, feature improvements, and refactoring.

Requirements:

Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of 4 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

This position involves obtaining a Level 5 Security Clearance. Candidate must reside in the U.S. for a total of 3 years within the last 5 years.

Strong knowledge and work experience in
Java 7 and 8, Hibernate, Maven, Oracle, REST Services, Spring

Servlet, JSP, SOAP, JBPM5, Drools, Jquery, JMS, Apache Lucene/SOLR, Elastic Search

Highly Desirable:

Vaadin, Spring Boot, Docker, Amazon Web Services, JOOQ experience in a continuous integration environment.

Scripting languages and experience (Ruby, Python, etc)
