An independent CPA firm in Rockwall TX is hiring a Tax Manager as part of a real succession plan. The owner needs someone to take over parts of the practice over time, and would rather bring that person in now and prepare them properly than lose them to a competitor in three years.

You’ll work side by side with the owner, see how the practice actually runs, and take on more of it as the plan moves forward. Hybrid working here is built on trust rather than a rigid policy.

• $125,000 to $150,000 depending on experience, plus 401(k), medical, dental and vision

• Reviewing complex returns across individuals, partnerships, S corps, C corps and trusts
• Owning client relationships year round
• Spotting planning opportunities and advising beyond compliance
• Working with the owner on complex matters and wider client strategy
• Mentoring and developing junior staff
• Taking on more of the client service, team and operations side as the succession plan moves forward

• Already working at Tax Manager level in public accounting
• Comfortable owning both the clients and the technical work
• Enjoys developing people and building long term client relationships
• CPA or EA preferred
