THE ROLE: Electrical Controls Designer I

Location: Rockwall, TX

Reports To: Controls Manager

Position Type: Regular, Full-time, Non-Exempt

Summary: This role is responsible for creating electrical schematics for standard and custom control panels, generating accurate bills of materials (BOMs), and managing component procurement through our ERP system.

Position Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical schematics for standard and slightly customized control panels using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Generate and maintain accurate BOMs based on schematic designs.
• Input BOMs into the ERP system for costing and inventory tracking.
• Complete cost analysis of BOMs within the ERP system.
• Create and follow up on purchase requests for electrical components.
• Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong understanding of electrical components and control systems.
• Experience working with ERP systems;
  Great Plains ERP experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
