The Industrial Engineering Technician reports directly to Manager, Industrial Engineering and indirectly to the Plant Manager. The incumbent will be accountable for providing technical support to the manufacturing facility and processes. The Industrial Engineering Technician will be accountable for improvement of production and training processes, and support equipment upgrade and reliability aspects to achieve high quality throughput. This position will work with the entire operations organization which includes Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, etc.

The Industrial Engineering Technician will champion and support advancement of Mattr Lean program throughout the organization specifically for completion of continuous improvement projects. Facilitate root cause analyses through A3 with Lean and Six Sigma tools to understand complex processes issues.

• Support development and standardization of manufacturing processes including creation/updates to SOPs, supporting new process roll outs and training
• Support process continuous improvement initiatives through analysis of process parameters like downtime, efficiency, first time quality, and material variance using different lean tools like Gemba, Spaghetti Diagram, Value Stream Mapping, etc.
• Provide hands‑on support on process troubleshooting and process improvement while maintaining quality and product standards
• Lead process mapping exercises to understand current situation of work area or value‑stream
• Lead cross‑functional teams of Operators, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and shared services to bring improvement to process flow
• Provide technical support to Process, Product and Engineering Groups for new product development and equipment design to ensure that equipment meets performance specifications
• Review and validate training and maintenance programs for new equipment or processes
• Support troubleshooting of the manufacturing processes and equipment

• Support and run projects related to operations, propose performance and cost justification for projects
• Support plant equipment improvements from the preparation of AFEs and execution plans through installation, commissioning, and rollout
• Follow Project Management and EDCM processes to manage all projects

• Support execution of the continuous improvement initiatives & projects
• Participate in Lean Enterprise and corporate optimization programs as required
• Support Best in Class (BIC) and Lean best practices

• Mechanical and/or Industrial Engineering experience
• Experience in manufacturing environment
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and hands‑on attitude
• Demonstrated ability to achieve measurable results in a cross‑functional work environment
• Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making and organization
• Proficient problem‑solving ability
• Strong independent work ethic
• Good computer literacy over a broad range of applications including MS Office suite
• Candidates with exposure to plastic/composite production and with industrial background will be preferred
• Training and experience in Lean/Six Sigma preferred (SPC, A3 Problem Solving, FMEA, 5S, DMP)
• Must have excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
• Proven leadership skills and strong process knowledge

• 3-5 years in manufacturing

• Mechanical and/or Industrial Engineering Bachelors Degree
