Compensation: $13-15 per hour

Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids is an upscale children's salon. If you are a highly motivated individual with high energy, Sharkey's Cuts for Kids is looking for YOU to be a part of our Rockwall team! As a premier provider of children’s haircuts, Sharkey's is the place to be. Our stylists provide professional salon services in a fun and exciting environment by friendly and experienced staff members.

We are looking for someone who can be part of our team to keep the salon running smoothly and provide outstanding and warm customer service. We believe everyone should have an enjoyable experience where "Haircuts are Cool and Fun Rules!"

Our Salon Specialist should have a natural smile and upbeat attitude with a commitment to provide an unforgettable welcome greeting and friendly experience for each of our client children and parents.

This would be an excellent job for a teacher or high schooler looking for after-school and/or weekend hours. This is less about working at a salon than it is creating a warm feeling for all who enter the salon.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to engage with kids ranging from ages 1-12.
• Use Point of Sale system to manage appointments, and check customers in and out and collect payment
• Assist Stylists with cleaning duties between customers
• Oversee and maintain the health and safety of customers by following the laws and rules set forth by the state board of cosmetology/barbering

• Customer service experience
• Wear a smile and be available on weekends and weekday afternoons
• Possible full weekdays could be an option as well
• Cosmetology license optional, but certainly not required.
