Paramedic - Emergency Full Time Nights at

Work location: Texas Health Rockwall - 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032

Work hours: Full Time, 36 hours weekly - (3) 12-hour Night shifts 7pm-7am, including weekends

Training: Must be able to attend orientation and training at the corporate office in Arlington during 8am-5pm the first 1-5 days of hire

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship required
• 1 year of paramedic experience in EMS or fire department strongly preferred
• EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required upon hire or LP - Licensed Paramedic required upon hire
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
• Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced environment, good interpersonal and communication skills, and basic computer skills

• Respond to priorities regarding privacy, confidentiality, safety, and patient care; incorporate population-specific safety and infection control measures; engage family/caregivers; collaborate with the health care team to promote safe, individualized care; communicate in a supportive, professional manner.
• Perform technical skills adapted to population and developmental needs of the patient.
• Provide safe patient care under the delegation of appropriate Physician and competency sign-off.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, individualized care and efficient resource use.
