Certified Surgical Tech/CST – Surgery Full Time Days

Texas Health Resources is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for full‑time day shifts in Rockwall, TX.

Work location: Texas Health Rockwall – 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032
Work hours: 40 hours weekly, day schedule
Training: Must attend training at the corporate office in Arlington, 8 am–5 pm during the first 1–5 days of hire

• State‑of‑the‑art sterilization equipment and technology

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, vocational nurse program, or military training program in surgical technology
• Minimum one year of operating room experience preferred
• CST – Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS‑C (NCCT) required upon hire
• Or CST credential earned within two years of hire
• LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) required upon hire (if applicable)
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support required prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly
• High degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, acceptable grooming practices, and ability to function in a fast‑paced, changing environment

• Perform intra‑operative tasks with skills and behavior conducive to desirable outcomes
• Assist RN circulator in all peri‑operative care for patients (infants, pediatrics, adults, geriatrics)
• Assist in formulating peri‑operative care plans pre‑operatively
• Coordinate patient care peri‑operatively and assume professional accountability under supervision
• Follow proper procedures for care of instruments, supplies, and equipment post‑operatively
• Support infection control by minimizing risk of transfer of infection and accidental contamination
• Support patient safety by protecting patients from injury
