Looking for dependable caregivers for multiple Rockwall locations

Responsible for non‑medical, in‑home support services that provide comfort, safety, and general supervision of clients, as well as home‑management services. Offers companionship to individuals requiring socialization and/or minimal guidance to maintain a safe, protected, clean, and orderly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; satisfactory completion of any mandated training.
• Bondable and must meet or exceed the minimum qualifications for the following background checks:
  Criminal Background Investigation, Motor Vehicle Driving Record, Professional and Personal Reference Checks, and consent to random drug and alcohol testing.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Completion of Comfort Keepers training and orientation program; acceptance of company policies and procedures; ability to function independently with minimal direct supervision; maintain satisfactory relationships with administrative staff, clients, and family members; genuine concern for helping people; high standards of honesty and integrity.

Essential Functions

• Performs duties as assigned on the care plan—not just companion services.
• Assists the client with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, and ambulation.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients and family members.
• Provides light housekeeping tasks, including laundering client garments and linens and changing bed linens.
• Assists with nutritional needs by meal planning, preparation, grocery shopping, dishwashing, and kitchen clean‑up.
• Reminds clients to take self‑administered medications.
• Observes and reports any changes in the client’s mental, physical, or emotional condition or home situation to the immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and a professional relationship with clients, family members, and co‑workers.
• Participates in in‑service and continuing education programs, staff meetings, and client conferences as requested.
• Completes required documentation of services delivered and submits to the office in a timely manner according to policy.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding client information.
• Performs other reasonable related duties as assigned.

Client home setting and automobile. Schedule options in the Rockwall area (75032):

• Monday & Friday 1:00 pm‑5:00 pm.
• Tuesday & Friday 9:00 am‑1:00 pm.
• Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑4:00 pm.
• Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am‑4:00 pm.

Contact with blood or other body fluids may pose a risk for exposure to blood‑borne pathogens and infectious diseases. Position Physical Demands

Regular moderate physical exertion, including driving, assisting clients in transfer activities and ambulation, and light housekeeping. Requires standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, reaching, kneeling, and crouching. Lifting up to 25 pounds is permitted and may be required.
