STREAMING NEWS ANCHOR/REPORTER - WFSB

WFSB‑TV is Connecticut’s news leader. Eyewitness News creates the market’s leading news & information programming across a myriad of digital platforms. We are Connecticut’s #1 source for the latest first‑alert weather, breaking news, traffic, and all the info you need.

WFSB seeks an experienced journalist to anchor live‑streamed content on all of WFSB’s digital platforms. This is not a traditional anchor position, but the successful candidate will also anchor on WFSB’s traditional broadcast channels. The anchor will utilize the latest production & streaming technology to produce, perform, and execute live content throughout their shift, breaking news, and create compelling content that airs live on WFSB’s digital platforms.

The anchor will also report from the field as assigned, generate hard news & enterprise stories, and attend & represent WFSB at community events.

• Anchor live‑streamed news on WFSB’s digital platforms.
• Anchor on WFSB’s traditional broadcast channels.
• Use production & streaming technology to execute live content during shift.
• Report from the field as assigned and generate hard news & enterprise stories.
• Represent WFSB at community events.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience: 3–5 years as an anchor and reporter.

• Experience using ENPS, VMix, Singular graphics, and internet production tools.
• Work a flexible schedule and be a team member.
• Advanced understanding of newscast presentation.
• Excellent writing and graphics skills with the ability to provide an interesting & substantive product.
• Results‑oriented and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience with script writing and editorial experience preferred.
• 10 % travel required.
