Certified Surgical Technologist

Rocky Hill Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Per Diem Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our great team of professionals.

Rocky Hill Surgery Center is an accredited physician owned Ambulatory Surgery Center opened in November 2019 providing the highest level of care. We currently specialize in Ophthalmology and perform a variety of procedures including Cataracts, Glaucoma and Retina. Our busy ophthalmology surgery center provides outpatient surgical procedures to Rocky Hill, CT and the surrounding communities. We are looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) who is a team player, detail oriented, and are committed to delivering excellent care to our patients.

Position:
Certified Surgical Technologist. Status:
Per Diem.

• Active CST Certification which is in good standing.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Knowledge and skills to perform the position job duties.
• A strong knowledge of aseptic technique, instrumentation, sterilization, and the ability to handle emergency situations.
• Able to communicate effectively and have an ability to work compatibly with all physicians and staff.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Possess strong organizational skills, and a clear understanding of the importance of efficiency and cost effectiveness in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Ophthalmic experience preferred.

• Standing or walking most of the day. Sufficient mobility and strength to move throughout department and lift heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• May be exposed to blood, sharp objects, and infectious diseases
• May be required to wear personal protection equipment for lengthy periods of time.
