This behavioral health facility provides comprehensive inpatient psychiatric services for children, adolescents, and adults. The facility operates within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment supported by psychiatrists, registered nurses, and PMHNPs, with a focus on addressing a range of mental health and substance use needs. Locum tenens coverage is sought for a qualified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to support clinical operations on an ongoing basis.

Northeastern Connecticut, often called the Quiet Corner, spans approximately 521 square miles across Windham County and parts of Tolland and New London counties, encompassing 16 towns with a population of roughly 96,000 residents. The region is characterized by rural landscapes, including forests, farmlands, and historic districts, with Route 169 designated as a National Scenic Byway and outdoor destinations such as Mashamoquet Brook State Park and Natchaug State Forest available for recreation.

Visitors and residents may also access cultural attractions such as the Roseland Cottage Museum, local vineyards along the Connecticut Wine Trail, and historic mill districts throughout the area.

Clinicians in this role will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services on a day shift schedule, totaling 40 hours per week at an on-site behavioral health facility. The caseload is divided approximately evenly between adult patients and child and adolescent patients, with clinicians seeing 10-12 patients per day. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management across all age groups.
