Job DescriptionThe Superintendent is responsible for planning and overseeing all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring successful execution from pre-construction through post-construction phases. This role is crucial in achieving project goals and managing all field operational duties effectively.
Responsibilities- Participate and lead preconstruction planning, including crisis management and site logistics.
- Develop and enforce site‑specific safety plans, rules, and regulations.
- Complete the Redbook and contribute to pursuits, proposals, and interviews, offering insights on schedule, logistics, safety, and subcontractor selection.
- Conduct and participate in pre‑job walkthroughs to ensure readiness.
- Align project budgets for labor, materials, and equipment with project management prior to project start.
- Assist the pursuit team in analyzing and preparing for upcoming project opportunities.
- Participate in QA/AC page‑turn sessions to align expectations and execution.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5-8 years of construction‑related experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, innovative, and forward‑thinking.
- Computer literate with demonstrated experience in initiating and driving continuous improvement.
- Current OSHA 30 certification.
- Two‑year or four‑year degree in a construction‑related field preferred.
- Bilingual with ability to communicate in both Spanish and English preferred.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Thorough and detail‑oriented with ability to prioritize and multi‑task.
- Self‑starter and motivated with minimal supervision.
The position requires regular travel to Greenville, NC for the initial project but will be permanently assigned to the Raleigh, NC office and will complete projects in the Raleigh area upon completion of the Greenville job. The work is primarily on‑site, demanding strong adherence to safety standards.
